There are questions over why oversight was eased at Mystic Camp as it expanded in a hazardous floodplain, the AP reported.

Within six years of opening, Camp Mystic was inundated with floodwaters.

More than 120 people have died and at least 160 others are still missing after horrific floods struck central Texas over the July Fourth weekend.

Hundreds of rescuers, including teams from local, state and federal agencies, as well as volunteers, are involved in the search, Texas Game Warden Ben Baker said Tuesday during a news conference.

“We’re praying that once he sees the devastation, he’s going to write authorities to start helping us,” Guillen said.

A Flood Watch is in effect for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and areas west of I-35 through 7 p.m. Sunday, July 13.
