The Pickett Fire in California's Napa County has burned 6,803 acres as of Sunday morning, making it the largest fire in the Bay Area since last year.

A wildfire in Northern California has grown to nearly 7,000 acres, prompting evacuations in Napa County, forestry officials announced Sunday.

A fire burning near Silverado Trail wineries prompted evacuation orders in Napa County. The Pickett Fire was reported around 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, off Pickett Road, near Calistoga. By Saturday night, it had burned 6,531 acres (10 square miles) with 11% containment, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection said.
