Kerr County commissioners discussed ongoing search and rescue efforts Monday in their first official meeting since catastrophic flooding killed more than 100 people in the county over the July 4 weekend.

Search and recovery efforts continue in Kerr County, 12 days after the tragic flood that claimed more than 130 lives along the Guadalupe.

Search and rescue efforts continue Tuesday as crews look for the dozens still missing from the July Fourth floods that devastated the Kerr County area. On Tuesday, Kerr County said that 107 people are confirmed dead in the county.

As of 8:30 a.m. Monday, 75 deceased have been recovered in Kerr County, including 48 adults and 27 children. 15 adults and nine children are unidentified.

Three officers along with officers Bruce, Bullseye and Bandit have made the trek from the Rio Grande Valley to help aid rescuers in their searches.

County officials did not issue a locally targeted emergency alert to warn people in town of the rapidly rising waters until two days after the deadly flood, according to Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) data.
