Unlike their recent road losses, the Lightning went into the third period ahead — thanks to a marvelous play by Kucherov. He took the puck deep in his own end and up the ice, making an inside out move on defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen, which allowed Kucherov to drive toward the net and cut around the back for a wraparound goal.

Owen Tippett scored the tying goal in the closing minutes of regulation, then got the clinching shootout goal as the Philadelphia Flyers beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1.

Tippett notched his third goal of the season on Thursday. Though, the forward has struggled to net the majority of his shot attempts.
