President Donald Trump is calling for the release of Colorado's Tina Peters, a former county election official convicted for her role in a security breach of her office's voting equipment,

Griswold said she had no idea what Trump meant with his threat, but she said there’s nothing the president can do to unwind the conviction.

Trump threatened “harsh measures” if Peters is not released, but there is little Trump can do legally. Peters was tried and convicted in state court.
