In total, 28 people were on the bus at the time of the crash. Of the passengers, 25 students were on the bus, and 21 of those students were taken to the hospital. As was the bus driver. Their conditions are unknown.

A Central Texas school district had an eventful morning commute after a sinkhole emerged along a side road on Monday, August 25. Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra shared a photo on Facebook depicting a Hays CISD school bus caught partway in the sinkhole as students and staff were on board.

Multiple injuries were reported and patients were taken to local hospitals. According to the Aliquippa Fire Department, 21 people were taken to hospitals or trauma centers.
