In total, 28 people were on the bus at the time of the crash. Of the passengers, 25 students were on the bus, and 21 of those students were taken to the hospital. As was the bus driver. Their conditions are unknown.

In March, a Mars Area School District bus carrying 20 students crashed into a tree in Butler County, Pennsylvania, killing the driver and sending multiple children to the hospital. The bus driver, William "Bob" Miller, had worked for the district for 10 years.

Multiple injuries were reported and patients were taken to local hospitals. According to the Aliquippa Fire Department, 21 people were taken to hospitals or trauma centers.
