ABC revives the beloved sitcom Scrubs for the 2025–2026 season, with Zach Braff, Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke returning to Sacred Heart Hospital alongside new interns. Created by Bill Lawrence, the reboot mixes nostalgia with a modern take on medicine and mentorship.
The hit medical sitcom “ Scrubs ” is getting a reboot, and its original stars are on board. ABC, the network that aired the show’s final two seasons, has ordered another season of the show, it confirmed to CNN on Friday. The new series will be broadcast in 2025-2026, outlets including The Hollywood Reporter and Variety reported on Thursday.
Variety reported in December that the new iteration was in early development at Disney-owned ABC. “Scrubs” debuted in 2001 on NBC, where it aired for seven seasons before moving to ABC for its final two.
ABC announced Thursday that it has ordered the revival of "Scrubs," confirming three original cast members returning.
Fifteen years after it was canceled at ABC, "Scrubs" is returning for a 10th season with stars Zach Braff, Donald Faison, and Sarah Chalke.
