Iran has launched its first military exercise since its 12-day war with Israel. State television reported that navy vessels would fire missiles at sea targets in the Gulf of Oman and the Indian Ocean on Thursday.

Iranian security forces shot dead six militants in a clash in southeastern Iran, state-run Irna reported, adding that the group was linked to Israel. The incident came a day after armed rebels killed five police officers in the region on Friday.
