The award-winning news comedy show, which propelled Jon Stewart to fame and saw him return as a one-day-a-week anchor in 2024, is adding a new rotating host to its lineup.

Comedy Central announced Josh Johnson will join the News Team hosting rotation at "The Daily Show." Johnson makes his debut at the iconic desk on Tuesday.

Show' host's comments came shortly before it was announced that CBS has canceled 'The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.'

Johnson is a stand up comedian in addition to being a former writer and performer on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He joined The Daily Show as a writer in 2017, racking up multiple Emmy nominations as part of the show’s writing staff.
